Board of Directors Overview

The CWA Board of Directors is comprised of representatives from all areas of the indoor climbing industry working together to help shape strategic initiatives aimed at promoting growth and stability within the industry. The CWA is focused on increasing and diversifying representation to promote a more comprehensive voice of the industry.

Applying for the CWA Board

The Climbing Wall Association seeks representatives from various sectors of the indoor climbing industry to join the CWA Board of Directors. We recruit on a rolling basis regularly bringing in new cohorts, subscribe to our newsletter, join a committee, or reach out to the CWA if you're interested in joining the board. We look for representatives from the following roles:

• Owner/operators of climbing facilities
• Routesetters
• Climbing gym managers
• Climbing coaches
• Higher education professionals

Background or experience in non-profit governance, management, finance, and law are preferred but not required. The current BOD will review all applications and select qualified candidates for appointment.
