As we face the challenges ahead, our community needs to be united now more than ever. The CWA is a non-profit industry trade association for operators of climbing walls, builders of climbing walls, manufacturers of climbing wall equipment, and others involved in the climbing industry.
Through the Membership Assistance Program, we’re removing all barriers to membership in order to preserve the strongest possible community of indoor climbing businesses. Join us on the journey back to thriving operations!
When you’re ready to join, follow these simple steps:

- Enter your contact and member information.
- On the Membership Dues screen, enter the number of additional locations you have.
- Enter the promo code MembershipAssist if you’d like to take advantage of a free membership.
- Verify your billing details and click “Submit”.
- Make any partial payments or contributions you wish to our COVID-19 fund.
What does CWA do?
As a member-driven organization, the CWA offers standards and publications for the operation of climbing walls, insurance programs for climbing facilities, risk management consulting for member organizations, conferences, and other products and services.
CWA is the principal promoter and defender of the manufactured wall climbing industry in the USA. The CWA’s public policy agenda involves educating members on policy matters that may have an impact on their programs and businesses, promoting positive regulatory and business conditions for the industry, promoting sound public policy regarding health, physical education and recreation.
Who should join?
CWA membership is designed to benefit any organization that provides climbing – related products or services. From climbing gyms to summer camps, our global member network includes any organization or vendor involved in the operation and construction of artificial climbing structures. How much does membership cost?
CWA’s annual membership dues are $400.00 and $75.00 for each additional location with a climbing wall.
In order to support indoor climbing gyms during the COVID-19 pandemic, we are currently offering a Membership Assistance Program. This allows you a 1 year membership with the CWA for free. You can use the promo code MembershipAssist when joining to have all dues waived, including any additional locations. This offer will be available until December 31, 2020.
If you are able to contribute your full dues, you do not have to use this promo code. If you would like to pay partial dues, you will be prompted at the end of the renewal process to contribute to our COVID-19 fund, which helps support the Membership Assistance Program and the CWA's lobbying and advocacy work.
